Deadline

25 November 2026, 24:00 KST: 26 November at 00:00 UTC+9, or 25 November at 23:00 Beijing time. Official system time governs.

Entry fee

Korea: KRW 0. Global final: US$99 per film, organiser-paid for 19 cash awards; 31 encouragement winners pay only if they proceed. Travel is separate; refunds unconfirmed.

Official requirements

  • Including credits: narrative, animation, documentary and K-culture up to 20 minutes; advertising 3; music video 7. At least 50% AI visuals or core narrative elements; hybrid films accepted, cleanup alone insufficient.
  • Completed from 1 January 2025; worldwide individuals/teams, guardian consent for under-19 members. Five films per category, one category per film; organiser-related exclusions apply.
  • The guide lists MP4/H.264, up to 10 GB, with 1080p recommended; the rules describe that format as recommended. Ask before using another format/codec. Prepare Korean/English titles, synopsis, role credits and one poster; initial stills/director photo are optional.
  • Verify email, complete 12 questions, roughly two pages of creative explanation and three start/end-timecoded evidence scenes in the entry fields. Cover structure, artistic choices, AI/human roles, references and revisions.
  • Declare AI use, retain process records and clear commercial tool/asset and face/voice permissions. Label AI documentary reconstructions. Unauthorised real-person synthesis is prohibited.
  • English subtitles: recommended initially, required for non-English films at the global final. Disclose earlier publication/screenings/awards and distribution restrictions.
  • Cash winners must proceed; encouragement winners may decline without losing their Korea award. Final-stage materials include English subtitles, trailer and landscape/portrait posters, coordinated through Korea. US attendance is optional.

Our preparation tips

  • Keep separate budgets for initial entry and a possible award. In the second, identify who pays US$99 and whether travel, accommodation or visa costs apply. A free initial submission should not conceal later decisions.
  • Map AI-generated/assisted and human work across the timeline. Explain how you estimated visual or narrative contribution; do not invent a percentage. Selecting hybrid in this questionnaire cannot establish the threshold.
  • Build the creative explanation around intention, attempt, revision and visible result. Match three scenes to those claims with start/end timecodes. Describe actual work rather than inventing a cleaner process after completion.
  • Keep a complete export with credits and a duration record. Cross-check title and credits against your poster. Play through the entire file before confirming the review copy; record subsequent replacements separately.
  • Ask co-rightsholders to review global-final obligations separately. Compare them with premiere, exclusive distribution and brand commitments. If you only want the Korea stage, obtain written clarification before submitting.
  • Track filled, uploaded, submitted and review-copy-confirmed separately; save official messages. This checklist is not a receipt. Film Atlas does not need your film, consent documents or identity records.

Still to confirm

  • Confirm the independently operated final’s latest complete terms, refunds and practical operation of its 12-month same-terms first-cooperation provision.
  • This questionnaire’s 18+ answer cannot settle under-19 consent. Completion date, actual AI share, K-culture/advertising classification and special-award status require separate checks.
  • Korea provides for the 17 December event screening and publicity using excerpts up to three minutes/materials until two years after the event; online full-film release needs separate consent. The final’s non-commercial full-film publication has no fixed endpoint. Prior release does not replace future permissions.
  • No live form, upload, receipt, post-entry changes, rights chain or organiser reliability was tested; prizes and promotional benefits are not guaranteed.
