Open — cutoff time / timezone to confirm

Deadline

3 November 2026; date only. No short-film cutoff time or zone was established.

Entry fee

Short-film entry fees and refunds are unconfirmed; free audience tickets do not establish free entry.

Official requirements

  • An original AI-made short on the broadly defined idol theme; live action or animation, with any AI tools.
  • 60–180 seconds, landscape 16:9 MP4; one film per creator. Title/credit timing is unspecified.
  • Follow @avantgardeagi (https://x.com/avantgardeagi) and the short-film like/repost instructions. The work-bearing X post needs #AiDOLショートフィルム, title and introduction, not the image-contest tag.
  • Select the short-film division and supply creator name, email, title, X-post URL, duration and concept. X posting alone is insufficient.
  • The form preview is not submission. Complete its final send step and check for the official acceptance message; no live receipt was tested.
  • Tools/assets must permit publication and promotional/advertising use. Clear third-party rights and follow the published content restrictions.

Our preparation tips

  • Check competing premiere commitments before posting. Keep the original and X-ready exports; one public release does not establish compatibility with every festival.
  • Track two separate steps: X URL/time and form outcome/time. Do not mark the entry complete when only one is done.
  • Test the X post while signed out or in another browser. If access is restricted, ask the organiser for an acceptable route; do not silently substitute a private drive link.
  • Explain who or what is the idol and how the story centres on it, then briefly describe the AI contribution. Genre alone does not establish theme compliance.
  • Record total duration and separate title/credit timings; retain the MP4 and permission evidence. Allow time to resolve counting questions before submitting.
  • Combine unanswered fee, eligibility, subtitle and licence questions into a written enquiry. Keep the response yourself; Film Atlas does not need those documents.

Still to confirm

  • The exact cutoff/timezone, entry charge and refund terms remain unconfirmed. Do not assume 23:59 Japan time or free entry.
  • Age, territory/nationality, prior-publication eligibility and cross-division entry are incomplete. An unstated limit is not verified worldwide eligibility.
  • No minimum AI percentage, title/credit counting rule or subtitle language/delivery requirement was established. General lessons and other events cannot supply those rules.
  • Full screening/promotion licence, duration, withdrawal and X-publication period need confirmation. Asset permissions do not establish every organiser licence term.
  • Real sending, duplicate entries, acceptance receipts and finalist file delivery were not tested. This page is not proof of a successful entry.
